THE FIELDS OF GREEN TEAM
スポーツ選手は子供達の憧れです。
どんなプレイにも才能を発揮するボージャクソン

私は子供の時、野球が大好きでした。
夕方になると、米国オハイオ州フィンレー市にある
線路沿いの野球場で、兄と二人でキャッチボールしながら、
憧れの選手の真似をしていたことを思い出します。
当時憧れていた選手は今なにをしているのだろう？
元デトロイトタイガースで活躍していた、
ダレル・エヴァンスにより面白いコンセプトをもった活動がスタートしました。
「フィールド・オブ・グリーン・チーム」
ニュースレター形式で、
ハンク・アーロン（元ホームラン王）に教わった野球のプレーのコツと、
環境にやさしくなるコツを紹介する。
子供が野球を学びながら、環境にやさしい人間になる。
面白い活動ですね！
フィールド・オブ・グリーン・チームとは関係ありませんが、
NBA選手、YAO MING選手の活動も影響力のある
すばらしい活動だと思います。
As a child, professional athletes were big inspiration. My mouth were wide open as Michael Jordan shoots game winning shot at the buzzer, Bo Jackson dominates his over Bears defense, and Nolan Ryan strikes everyone out including Wade Boggs.
I always wanted to be a baseball player, hitting over 300 and 40 homeruns a season.
I think artists and professional athletes are two big inspirations for young people then and now.
I found very interesting eco conscious activities.
●Field of Green:
I was a Tigers fan from 88-89. Frank Tanana, Alan Trammell, and Darrell Evans were three of my favorite players. Well, Darrell Evans has created the Fields of Green Team concept to help former Major League Ballplayers and fans do their part to help save Mother Earth.
