15 Below Project
今年もクリスマスでにぎやかになってきますね。
クリスマスもエコに、家族やカップルと過ごせるといいですよね。
クリスマス特集として、「エコクリスマス・ギフト」を紹介しようとおもったのですが、
「ＴＡＸＩ」というデザイン会社の取り組みに目をひかれ、こちらを紹介することにします。
TAXIはカナダのデザイン会社です。
今回「１５ BELOW」というクリスマスプロジェクトを立ち上げました。
カナダでは３００，０００人のホームレスの方々がいます。
毎年マイナスの気温と戦いながら、クリスマスを迎えます。
（－１５度にもなるそうです）
厳しいクリスマスを迎えるホームレスのために、
ＴＡＸＩは特別なジャケットをプレゼントしようと企画しました。
それが軽くて防水加工もされている、15Below Jacketです。
3000着生産され、配られるそうです。
ＴＡＸＩから多くのホームレスの方々へ１年に一回の暖かいプレゼントです。

途上国では、トイレがないという問題があります。
トイレがない事により、不衛生で病気感染の原因になるなど、
多くの問題がおこります。
そんな問題を解決する、ポータブルで、排泄物を保管できるオシャレなトイレ！
それがDignityトイレです。
このトイレは持ち運びが可能で、中に４人分の
７日から１０日分の排泄物を保管できるようになっています。
そして、下の部分が取れて、土壌がしっかりしたところに埋めれば、
あとは微生物が分解してくれます。

Well what is “Dignity Toilet?”
Cooler Solution from Toronto, Canada was rewarded at International Design Award.
This company has designed “Dignity Toilet”.
This toilet has all the solution for solid waste storage and disposal system for places without sanitation infrastracture. This tool can be used in developing nation to prevent issues of compliance, health, and dignity of solid wastes.
This incredible portable toilet has capacity to store solid waste up to seven to ten days!
After certain period, the toilet is removed from it’s seating dock and taken to a predetermined controlled area, And waste is evacuated manually and mix with the soil, and it is buried in the ground for decomposition. Very interesting!

なんと、古新聞をリサイクルしてできた鉛筆。
リサイクルといっても、古新聞を原料にしているわけではなく、
そのまま使います。
古新聞を何層にも撒きつけ、しっかりと接着させれば出来上がり。
エコなだけでなく、デザインもオシャレなんです。

I have found very sustainable pencil with cool design that are made out from used-newspaper.
How?
The used-newspaper is winded several times, and scotched strongly onto the lead .
Not only it is eco-friendly, this pencil has great design .
