もうすぐ北米とヨーロッパで発売される"Sim City Societies"に、
気候変動教育の要素が盛り込まれるそうです。
エネルギー大手のBPと協力して実現したこのアイデア。
現実世界と同様、低価格で大量生産されている建物は
CO2の最大排出者として設定されており、
一定以上CO2の濃度が上がると干ばつや熱波などの
自然災害にみまわれてしまいます。
プレイヤーは用意されている選択肢の中から、
水素エネルギーや風力・ソーラー発電などを選ぶことによって、
持続可能な発展をしていくことができるのです。
「日々の小さな選択が世界に大きな影響を与える」
現実社会ではなかなか実感できない温暖化の問題も、
Sim Cityを通じてならリアルに感じられるかもしれませんね。

The game "Sim City Societies" will soon be available across North America and Europe.
In this new version, education of climate change is included
BP, one of the largest energy companies in the world has collaborated with the game company to raise awareness of global warming
The technicality of this game is well detailed, for example low price and buildings that is produced in fast rate is the biggest producers of CO2.
If the density of CO2 goes beyond the critical level, climate will change where that region will face droughts as heat wave hits the city.
Player have several choices of energy, from the cheap energy to eco friendly renewable energy.
