Eco Rally in London

エコ・ラリー2007inロンドン
「最も燃費効率のいい車はどれだ？？」
ということで、今年の6月にイギリスのロンドンで行われた「エコ・ラリー」。
ロンドン市内約50kmを走った後に燃費を測り、
最も燃費効率がよかった車が「ロンドン・グリーン・カー賞」を受賞する。
エコロジー車の展示も兼ねているこのイベント。
電気自動車、、フィルタ・ディーゼル車（粒子状物質（PM）を補足するためのフィルタが付いているディーゼル車）、ハイブリッドカーらが勢ぞろい。
中にはわずか１Lの燃料で220ｋｍ走った参加者も。
そういえば以前、「鉄腕DASH」でもバイオ燃料１リットルでどこまで走れるかという企画をやっていました。
ソーラーカーの「だん吉」は現在日本１周に挑戦中です。

Eco-Rally 2007 in London
"Which car is the most efficient and eco-friendly?"
This past June, an event called "Eco-Rally" was held in the city of London.
Participants were expected to drive in 30 miles course that goes around the city.
Winner of this competition is judged by who marks the best fuel consumption.
Winner granted to receive an award called "Green Fleet Award".
The result of the competition was a participant that succeed to run 220km in one liter!
This event is also has a showcase for green cars.
Electric, filter diesel, hybrid...you can find various types of eco car .
By the way, there is a Japanese TV program called "Tetsuwan DASH". This program concentrates on "where can car we go within 1 liter of biofuel".
A hand-made solor car "Dankichi" is also challengin to circle around the Japan!
