Road ahead
ドキュメンタリー映画、海外や国内の若者から高齢の方に最近注目されています。
数年前にマイケル・モア監督の「Fahrenheit 9/11」が日本でも上映され、多くの方々がショックを受けたと思います。つい最近では、アル・ゴアの「不都合な真実」など、アメリカで社会現象をおこすようなドキュメンタリー映画が最近ちらちらとみるようになりました。
今回、私がお勧めする、二つのドキュメンタリー映画があります。
１． Crude Awakenings「ザ・オイル・クラッシュ」
ヨーロッパの映画監督とジャーナリストが一時間半通し多くのエキスパートを訪ね、「オイル」についてのインタビューするドキュメンタリー映画（歴史、政治、経済、資源、研究についてなど）
現代の人々がオイルになぜ洗脳され、いずれはくるオイルのピーク、そのとき人々はどう対応していくのか？過去のオイルの歴史から、現代、そして未来にどう人々が対応していくべきかエキスパートに語っていただくインテリジェントな映画。
２． 六ヶ所村ラプソディー2004年、六ヶ所村に原発で使った燃料からプルトニウムを取り出す再処理工場が完成した。この工場の風下には豊かな農業地帯が広がっている。菊川さんは１２年前からチューリップ祭りを開催し、再処理計画に反対し、くらしに根ざした運動を実践している。隣接した村々で農業を営む人々、特に有機や無農薬で安心、安全な作物を作ってきた農家もまたこの計画を止めたいと活動している。一方、六ヶ所村の漁村、泊では職を失った漁師の雇用問題が深刻だ。村はすでに再処理を受け入れ、経済的にも雇用の面でも必要だという考えが行き渡っている。
2005年、イギリスの再処理工場で事故が起きた。取材で見えてきたのは事故の影響よりも、44年間日常的に放出されてきた放射性物質の行方だった。圧倒的な力と経済力に、普通の人々はどうやって立ち向かっていけばいいのだろうか。その取り組みを、人々の営みをそしてそれぞれの選択を見つめてゆく。

Fahrenheit 9-11 has shocked many people, this film actually questioned society about "is war really necessary? And who is responsible for this war?"
Inconvenient Truth has shown climate change is a far greater threat to the world than terrorism. In past few years, independent documentary film has caught attention in many people.
Today, I like to introduce you to two documentary films.
1.Crude Awakening "The Oil Crash"：OilCrash, produced and directed by award-winning European journalists and filmmakers Basil Gelpke and Ray McCormack, tells the story of how our civilization’s addiction to oil puts it on a collision course with geology. Compelling, intelligent, and highly entertaining, the film visits with the world’s top experts and comes to a startling, but logical conclusion – our industrial society, built on cheap and readily available oil, must be completely re-imagined and overhauled. 2. Rokkoshamura Rhapsody (Japan)：This documentary film is about Nuclear processing plant in far north of Japan, in Aomori Prefecture. This film includes heart breaking interviews of people in the community about unwelcome nuclear reactors. Of course, there are people in this documentary that actually favors development of processing plant. This Rokkosho research facility has been testing and research for reprocessing plutonium.
