In this pavilion, Japanese representative four electric wire companies and ISTEC are showing their activities onsuperconductivity. They are developingsuperconducting wire technology for power equipments such as cables,transformers and superconducting magnetic energy storages (SMES). These equipments are expected to reduce loss in power systems in the world and they will contribute to realize a comfortable ecological world.

■Eye-catching Products/Service at the exhibition
You will find a demonstration stage in the corner of our pavilion. We will show you a very strong magnetic repulsion force between two superconducting magnets. You will be surprised at seeing a girl who is levitated by small superconducting magnets. You can also find recent superconducting wire technology of Japanese companies.

■Messages
Superconductivity technology may be immature, but itis surely progressing day by day. Please visit our pavilion. You will notice how the superconductivity is indispensable for the future human beings to live in the ecological world.
